City to launch My Key program for access to services

Starting March 2, the City of Columbia will streamline access to services with the launch of My Key, a new universal eligibility program.

The City designed this initiative to remove barriers to applying for assistance. This program will allow residents to submit income documentation annually through a secure, single-sign-on system.

My Key grants access to five major programs simultaneously:

The shift eliminates the need for residents to provide the same paperwork to multiple departments, significantly reducing the time and transportation costs often associated with navigating City services.

Beginning March 2026, residents can begin the registration process online at MyKey.CoMo.gov.

  • Prefer in-person support? Need to submit physical paperwork? Residents may bring supporting documentation to the Public Health and Human Services office starting March 2.
  • Once eligibility is verified, a resident's key remains active for a full calendar year, ensuring continued access to services without repeated applications.
