PPB Seizes Almost $2 Million in Illegal Drugs; Makes Arrests

Recent investigations by PPB's Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit has resulted in the seizure of almost $2 million in illegal drugs intended for the Portland area.

Over the past two weeks, investigators from the Portland Police Bureau's Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (NOC) have conducted several operations stemming from leads developed during an overdose investigation.

With this new information, members of NOC were able to seize a significant amount of narcotics intended for distribution in the Portland metro area. Through these operations, NOC investigators identified and arrested several individuals connected to regional drug trafficking organizations, and additional investigative leads were developed.

Seizures include:

  • 29 lbs. of Fentanyl
  • 55.5 lbs. of Methamphetamine
  • 6.6 lbs. of Heroin
  • 2.2 lbs. of Cocaine
  • 2 Firearms
  • $30,000

The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is approximately $1.9 million, based on pricing data from the HIDTA Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Drug Price List.

All suspects arrested are currently pending federal drug trafficking charges.

The investigations are ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
