Rising Stars @Orrick

There's nothing more important to our firm than developing the next generation of legal leaders. We're thrilled to share that several members of our team have recently been named rising stars:

• In our Financial & Securities Litigation group, Nicholas Poli is named a Law360 Banking Rising Star for his work on high-stakes banking and bankruptcy litigation, including uncovering criminal fraud and an NBA salary cap scandal in a complex private credit dispute that generated Pulitzer Prize-winning media coverage. This continues a strong run for our Financial & Securities Litigation team: Jennifer Lee received the same distinction from Law360 and Minority Corporate Counsel Association last year, Jennifer Keighley was named to Chambers this year for Securities Litigation, and Gregory Beaman earned two American Lawyer Litigator of the Week shout-outs, for his contributions to our work for social gaming company VGW and in a hotly contested earnout dispute.
• In Fintech, Lisa Lanham of our Financial & Fintech Advisory practice is recognized as a Law360 Rising Star for helping clients navigate fast-evolving consumer and commercial financial services regulation, including state licensing strategy, regulatory change management, enforcement readiness and supervisory/examination strategy. Lisa joined Orrick earlier this year in Miami as Head of Fintech Licensing, along with a five-lawyer team.
• In our Tech Companies Group, Montana Ware, who co-leads the firm's Space & Defense Tech practice, is named a Texas Lawyer Rising Star for his pioneering guidance to high-growth nuclear, space and defense tech companies, including advising on recent financings for Standard Nuclear, Radiant, Zeno Power and Supabase. His recognition follows that of Amanda Stephens, who was honored last year for her leadership in Texas charter school finance.
• On our Paris Tax team, Cécile Mariotti is named among the Top 10 Rising Stars in France by La Lettre des Juristes d'Affaires (LJA). LJA describes Cécile as "one of the best tax lawyers in the Paris market" for her work advising French and international clients on complex transactional tax matters.
