On 8 April, the United Nations Economic and Social Council re-elected the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) for the 2027-2029 term.

The Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, based at the United Nations Office at Vienna and composed of 40 Member States, serves as the principal policymaking body of the United Nations in the fields of crime prevention and criminal justice. It also functions as a governing body of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
