Service changes near Independence Day

Lakewood City Hall will be closed Friday, July 3 as it falls on the regularly scheduled alternating Friday closure.

City Hall will be open and services as usual on Monday, July 6.

July 3 service changes

  • Trash pickup as usual.
  • No street sweeping or makeup sweep in residential areas on July 3.
  • DASH service as usual.

Street sweepers will provide extra attention the week after Independence Day if needed on particular blocks.

Parking enforcement

Even when street sweeping does not occur, tickets will still be issued for parking in red zones, crosswalks, blocking sidewalks and other violations of the vehicle code on July 3.

When City Hall is closed

Report a non-emergency issue:

  • Call and leave a message for the customer service staff at 562-866-9771, extension 2140.
  • Send an email to [email protected]. They will answer messages on the next business day.
  • Submit a non-emergency service request online at www.lakewoodca.gov/service.
  • Use the Lakewood Connect app for your smartphone to report an issue.

For emergency city service requests, such as:

  • Downed tree limbs
  • Water main leaks
