Northern Forum and RANEPA Arctic Center Advance Cooperation in Arctic Education and Human Resources Development

March 31, 2026, Vladimir Nikolaevich Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, held a working meeting with Konstantin Sergeevich Zaikov, Director of the Arctic Center at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). The parties discussed prospects for collaboration in the areas of educational programs and human resources development for the Arctic regions.

During the meeting, the parties addressed the organization of joint educational projects aimed at professional development for specialists working in the Far North. Particular attention was paid to developing international exchange programs between northern territories, as well as leveraging the educational potential of the Northern Forum to strengthen the human resources base of Arctic regions.

The participants emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to training managerial personnel capable of effectively addressing the challenges of sustainable development in the Arctic zone. An agreement was reached to develop joint educational modules and conduct a series of webinars involving experts from Northern Forum member regions.

The cooperation between the Northern Forum and the RANEPA Arctic Center will represent an important step toward establishing a unified educational space for northern territories and preparing highly qualified specialists capable of working in the challenging climatic and logistical conditions of the Arctic.
