ADOW Names Tina Moore as Chief Operations Officer

MONTGOMERY - Alabama Secretary of Workforce Greg J. Reed announced today that Tina Moore has been appointed to the role of Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Moore will lead the Finance Division, the Information Technology Division, the General Services Division, and Physical Security.

"I'm proud to announce Tina Moore's appointment as Chief Operations Officer," said Reed. "Tina brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role, and has been an excellent leader. I'm confident that she will do an excellent job and will provide the leadership necessary to ensure that the agency is managed responsibly."

Moore has been employed with the agency since 2010 and brings extensive experience in governmental finance and accounting. Prior to her promotion, she served as the agency's Assistant Finance Director, where she oversaw the Finance Division's financial operations, grants management, general services, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, Moore provided executive oversight of more than $110 million in combined state and federal funding, including 53 federal grants, while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal fiscal requirements. Her responsibilities also included contract and vendor oversight, preparation of financial reports and cost allocation plans, operational planning, staff leadership, and audit readiness.

Before serving as Accounting Director I, Moore held positions of increasing responsibility within the Finance Division. Throughout her career with the Department, she has developed extensive expertise in governmental accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, state and federal funding, cost allocation, internal controls, payroll, accounts payable, cash management, grant administration, and fiscal compliance.

Moore has been married to her husband, David, for 28 years. They have two sons and one grandchild.
