Rehabilitation of Bridge Carrying Route 130 Over Pequonnock River in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing overnight closures of bridge carrying Route 130 (Stratford Ave) over Pequonnock River in Bridgeport from August 10 through October 5, 2026. The overnight closure will begin at 10:00 p.m. and end no later than 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

CTDOT Project No. 0015-0339 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $38,988,223.20 on November 26, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in the City of New Haven.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) will be fully closed, across from the intersection of Stratford Avenue/Kossuth Street on the east side, to the intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) on the west on certain evenings between August 10 to October 5, 2026. Traffic will follow the posted detour or be advised to seek alternate routes, mainly via I-95.

West Side Pick-Up: Intersection of Stratford Avenue and Water Street

No cost for travel between pick-up locations
