March is Nourish to Flourish Nutrition Month by Dietitians of Canada. This year's theme is all about how nutrition and food do more than just keep us healthy - they bring us together, support our mental health, and help us connect socially and culturally. Find tips from the monthly Food Guide newsletter: Skills for healthy eating, from grocery lists to using leftovers.

Strengthening the Forces (STF) is here to help you eat healthy with the Essential Nutrition Course and more. This course is designed to fit into your busy life and give you the skills to eat well, even in tough environments. No time for the full course and want a taste? Ask your local health promotion team to organize a briefing on specific aspects for your team or unit. Have an idea for a nutrition initiative or want other information? Don't hesitate to contact your local STF-PSP health promotion team. We can support you and your team in so many ways.

The Essentials of Nutrition - what you can learn in the full course or as separate briefings:

  • Fuel Your Brain and Body: discover how to eat for peak performance.
  • Protein and Fibre: find out if you're getting enough.
  • Save Money: learn tips to cut down on your food bill.
  • Easy Meal Planning: get strategies to make meal planning a breeze.
  • Nutrition Fundamentals: quick and tasty recipes, meals, and snacks.
  • Interpreting Food Labels: make informed decisions fast.
  • Mindful Eating: Improve your relationship with food.

No course offered yet in your region? Your local STF-PSP Health Promotion Team will be happy to organize one for your team or unit.

STF is the CAF/DND's health promotion program, offering expert information, guidance, training, tools, and leadership support to enhance CAF members' health and wellbeing.
