DENVER - Feb. 3, 2025 - Today, Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrated the opening of Björn's Colorado Honey first permanent location at DEN.
"We're thrilled to welcome Björn's Colorado Honey to DEN as a standalone store and to add to our roster of local concessions offerings," DEN CEO Phil Washington said.
Björn's Colorado Honey is a small-batch, local honey producer based in Boulder, Colorado. Beekeeper Pontus Jakobsson grew up in Sweden and learned the practice from his grandfather Björn, the company's namesake. The company is abuzz with a variety of American honey including Colorado honey plus European-made, bee-based skincare products featuring beeswax, honey and propolis.
"Being a small Colorado business and getting the chance to be inside Denver International Airport is something I'm incredibly proud of," Jakobsson said. "For us, it's not just about selling honey, it's about giving people a real taste of Colorado. Even if someone's just passing through on a layover, they get to experience a little piece of what makes our state so special."
Björn's Colorado Honey at DEN will have honey-based grab-and-go counter featuring locally made food and honey-sweetened beverages as well as a variety of honey, including their most popular Björn's Colorado Raw Traditional Honey, hive-based health and skincare products and much more.
Björn's Colorado Honey is a Small Business Enterprise Concession (SBEC) at DEN with kiosks on all three concourses. The newest Björn's Colorado Honey is located on Concourse C near gate C30.
Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $47 billion for the region annually.
