Rashid Temrezov Temrezov RashidHead of Karachayevo-Circassian Republic briefed the President on the republic's socioeconomic development, as well as the implementation of national projects and the President's instructions on improving the quality of life in the republic.
He said that the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared in 2026, is known in the republic as the Year of Cultural and Spiritual Heritage of the Karachayevo-Circassian People.
Rashid Temrezov reported in detail on the support provided to participants in the special military operation and their families. The republic has approved 54 regional financial and non-financial support measures and opened a new rehabilitation centre and a centre for manufacturing of limb exoprosthetics using additive technologies.
The head of the region also stated that republican executive, legislative and municipal authorities employ veterans of the special military operation who took part in the Time of Heroes programme. Vladimir Putin asked him to continue these efforts, adding that the deputy prime minister of the Karachayevo-Circassian Republic was one of such veterans.
Rashid Temrezov replied that the deputy prime minister in question fought in the famous Terek North Caucasus brigade, and that the banner which the President signed has been delivered to the 34th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade on the President's instructions. Vladimir Putin asked him to convey his greetings to the brigade's personnel.
Rashid Temrezov also reported on the implementation of national projects, saying that the republic's GDP has increased by 162 billion rubles, the construction sector is growing, and the volume of residential and non-residential construction is higher in the republic than the country's average. However, there are also difficulties and drawbacks, such as the obsolete water supply system and the deterioration and wear of buildings housing educational establishments. Vladimir Putin mentioned the poor condition of secondary schools, kindergartens and children's art schools. Rashid Temrezov replied that they have adopted a relevant regional programme, and that they will continue working to improve the quality of life in the republic.
