Senator Alsobrooks Votes Yes AGAIN on Iran War Powers Resolution

April 22, 2026

WASHINGTON, DC - Senator Alsobrooks (D-Md.) released the following statement after voting for Senator Baldwin's Iran War Powers Resolution:

"It has been 53 days since the start of President Trump's unauthorized war in Iran. And still there is no strategy and no end in sight.

"Americans cannot afford their gas, groceries, or medication - we certainly cannot afford a war that is costing us over $1 billion a day.

"I hoped my colleagues across the aisle would join us in wanting to end this war and lower costs for American families. But once again, tonight, they chose loyalty to President Trump over loyalty to working-class Americans.

"End the war. Lower costs."
