Implementation dialogue on industry priorities on the path to EU defence readiness with High Representative and Vice-President Kaja Kallas

Under the leadership of HRVP Kallas, the EU is boosting its security and defence posture, while strengthening its role and commitment to global peace and the international order.

In line with the mission letter of President Von der Leyen, HR/VP Kallas will organise an implementation dialoguetitled "Industry priorities on the path to EU defence readiness" with selected defence industry representatives on 28 January 2026 in Brussels.

The role of defence industry and cooperation with Ukrainian defence industry is crucial to deliver on the ambitious targets set by the EU. This Implementation Dialogue will facilitate direct interactions between defence industry representatives and HRVP Kallas. Participating defence industry representatives will be invited to share their assessments on bottlenecks and structural constraints, as well as opportunities and best practices to ensure the scale-up of EU defence capabilities.
