Freeman Regional Health Services Names Michelle Neuharth, BSN, RN, as System Director of Nursing

Freeman Regional Health Services (FRHS) is pleased to announce that Michelle Neuharth, BSN, RN, has accepted the position of System Director of Nursing. In this new role, Michelle will oversee nursing across the hospital, nursing home, assisted living, and independent living. She will provide leadership in aligning nursing practice, policies, and resources to ensure consistent, high-quality care throughout FRHS.

Michelle began her nursing career after receiving her Associate of Arts in Nursing from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2010. She worked at Human Services Center in Yankton on the geriatric unit from 2010-2013 before joining FRHS in 2013 in Community Health. Since then, she has served in a wide range of nursing roles including Cardiac Rehab, Clinic, Nursing Home MDS, Emergency Preparedness, CNA Coordinator, and Hospital Director of Nursing.

In 2022, Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University and, in 2024, completed the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations Nursing Leadership Program.
