European Meeting on Military Capabilities Coordination and Defence Industrial Cooperation


On Friday, December 5th, General Gheorghiță Vlad, Chief of Defence Staff, and Brigadier General Ion-Cornel Pleșa, Head of the General Directorate for Armaments, will participate, in Paris, in the European Meeting on Military Capabilities Coordination and Defence Industrial Cooperation.


The event, which takes place at the invitation of the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France, is hosted by the Chief of the French Defence Staff, General Fabien Mandon, and the Head of the General Directorate for Armaments, Emmanuel Chiva, and brings together counterparts from the European states.


The meeting aims at accelerating the joint military consolidation efforts at European level, by identifying critical capabilities, increasing interoperability, capitalizing on existing industrial solutions and initiating joint procurement and production projects.


The main objective of the meeting is to harmonize and increase Europe's collective response capacity in the current security context.
