City of Montgomery Thanks Residents and Crews for Storm Cleanup Efforts

The City of Montgomery extends its heartfelt thanks to our residents for their patience and cooperation as we continue cleaning up from last weekend's severe storms. We also want to recognize and commend the hardworking crews from the Montgomery Sanitation and Street Maintenance Departments for their tireless efforts in restoring normalcy to our community.

Over the next few weeks, sanitation and street maintenance crews will be collecting yard debris left curbside. As a public service during this cleanup period, the City will waive the regular 10-cubic-yard restriction. Homeowners are reminded that all debris must be cut into lengths no larger than five feet.

If a homeowner has hired a contractor for cleanup, the contractor is responsible for the complete removal of all storm-related debris.

Please note: Due to the extensive storm damage, trash collection delays are expected this week. Crews are working extended hours, including weekends, to ensure all storm debris and trash cans are collected. If your can was not emptied during its regularly scheduled route, or if limbs and debris remain curbside, please leave them out, our crews will get to them as soon as possible.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we work together to recover from this storm.
