China resumes U.S. soybean purchases under new trade agreement

An agreement for China to immediately resume purchases of U.S. soybeans boosted markets last week, pushing futures prices to seasonal highs.

The purchases were part of a trade agreement announced by President Donald Trump after meetings last week with China President Xi Jinping in South Korea.
