April 28, 2026 (ADDISON, TX) - The Town of Addison, in partnership with public transit technology provider Via, has launched Addison Orbit to provide microtransit and paratransit services for the greater Addison community.
The new on-demand microtransit service provides shared rides across the town's 4.4 square miles - connecting residents and visitors to jobs, shopping, dining, and medical appointments.
The service runs seven days a week from 5 a.m. to midnight. Riders can book a trip through the Addison Orbit app or by calling 469-214-0940. Rides are $3 per person, with $1.50 reduced fares for riders ages 65 and older. Children under 12 ride free. $6 unlimited daily passes are available. Monthly passes are also available and offer unlimited rides for 30 days.
As part of Addison Orbit, the Town is also launching Addison Paratransit, providing eligible riders with disabilities access to trips to and from Addison in the greater Dallas area. Paratransit rides are $3.50, can be booked in advance by phone, and accept cash payment.
