Portugal expresses solidarity with Germany following Russian hybrid attack

In a post on X, Prime Minister Luís Montenegro expressed Portugal's full solidarity with Germany following the Russian hybrid attack in Leipzig, stressing that Allied unity is essential to collective security.

"The unity of all Allies is an essential pillar of our collective security, and we will not waver in defending it," said Luís Montenegro, adding that Portugal would not hesitate to denounce "those who seek to divide us".

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Portugal's determination to support Ukraine and its unity with Germany and the other Allies "in defence of the values of peace, security and freedom".
