CHANTILLY, Va. (October 20, 2026) - Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) is helping rail and transit agencies around the world plan, deliver, modernize, and expand transportation networks that improve mobility, increase capacity, and enhance the passenger experience. From new systems built from the ground up to complex upgrades delivered within active corridors, Parsons supports clients through every stage of project delivery.
Rail and transit agencies are modernizing existing infrastructure while developing entirely new transportation systems to meet growing demand. Whether advancing projects in dense urban environments or upgrading active networks, Parsons helps clients manage utilities, tunneling, traffic flows, people movement, systems integration, and stakeholder coordination. From feasibility and planning through design, program delivery, testing, and commissioning, Parsons turns complex mega programs into operational transportation systems.
"Rail and transit agencies need partners who understand that success is measured in operations," said Mark Fialkowski, president of Infrastructure for Parsons. "Whether building a new system in a congested urban corridor or upgrading an active network, our focus is helping clients manage complexity, maintain mobility during delivery, and create better outcomes for passengers and communities."
Delivering Complex Programs While Keeping Systems Moving
Parsons delivers greenfield and brownfield programs across commuter rail, light rail, high-speed rail, metro, and bus rapid transit systems around the world. Its teams plan around utilities, people corridors, surface and underground alignments, and traffic operations to keep cities moving during construction, including:
Across North America, Parsons is helping agencies deliver major rail and transit investments across multiple modes and operating environments. In Chicago, the CREATE Program is improving mobility and network performance across a critical passenger and freight rail hub. Along the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project is increasing passenger rail capacity and strengthening long-term corridor resiliency. In Denver, East Colfax Avenue Bus Rapid Transit is advancing faster transit service and stronger multimodal connections, while BART Communications-Based Train Control is modernizing train operations across 125 miles of track and 47 stations. In Toronto, the Lakeshore East Line GO Expansion is adding tracks, modifying bridges, upgrading crossings, and expanding capacity along approximately 50 kilometers from Oshawa to downtown Toronto.
Across Europe and the Middle East, Parsons is delivering new systems and modernizing national rail networks. The Danish Signaling Program is renewing signaling across more than 3,200 kilometers of track and 560 trains and locomotives to strengthen interoperability, safety, and network performance. In Saudi Arabia, the Riyadh Metro, where a Parsons-led joint venture provided program and construction management for three of the network's six lines, comprises a 176.5-kilometer network, 85 transit stations, and seven rail depots. Parsons also supported systems delivery for the Doha Metro and is providing project management consultancy services for the Dubai Metro Blue Line, a 30-kilometer extension with 14 stations designed to accommodate up to 320,000 passengers per day.
Together, these programs demonstrate how Parsons helps rail and transit agencies deliver infrastructure investments, from new metro systems and rail corridors to complex upgrades that expand mobility, increase capacity, and improve passenger outcomes.
Parsons has more than half a century of experience designing, delivering, and protecting the infrastructure that connects our communities around the world, including roads and highways; bridges; passenger and freight rail; public transit; airports; and ports and waterways. The company's experience includes more than 8,000 miles of rail, 10,000 miles of roadways, 4,500 bridges, and more than 50 advanced traffic management system deployments that help cities and states improve safety and travel efficiency while also reducing emissions and energy costs to enhance the quality of life in the communities Parsons serves.
