Whether focused on product development, marketing or sales, leaders in the home furnishings industry keep their finger on the pulse of consumer trends. They adapt, reinvent, tweak and reimagine based on the insights gleaned from research into what consumers are buying, where they are shopping and how they are making purchasing decisions.
That's where the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) will begin its 2026 Marketing/PR Conference: taking an in-depth look at evolving consumer tastes and expectations when it comes to furnishing and remodeling their homes. Leading this exploration will be Pamela McNally, a senior marketing executive at Houzz, the community of more than 3 million building, remodeling and design professionals and over 70 million homeowners and home design enthusiasts worldwide.
The 2026 Marketing/PR Conference will take place August 26-27 at The Conference Center at Guilford Technical Community College, just minutes from Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, followed by a 4:30-5:30 p.m. reception, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, August 27.
McNally will discuss findings from surveys of more than 20,000 Houzz users, including more than 10,000 U.S. homeowners currently renovating or planning projects within the next year. The annual Houzz & Home Study is the largest survey of residential remodeling, building and decorating activity.
"My work sits at the intersection of brand strategy, digital transformation and business," said McNally. Her career highlights include four years as senior vice president of marketing and digital at the National Kitchen & Bath Association and eight years at SANDOW Media, where she partnered with Fortune 500 companies, top-tier design brands and showrooms to build integrated marketing programs.
The conference will bring together the industry's marketing, public relations and communications professionals to explore fresh ideas, tools and insights driving home furnishings marketing today and into 2027.
The two-day program will explore a range of topics, including influencer collaborations that drive sales; the limits of AI imagery; putting community relations into public relations; polishing your crisis communications strategy; and marketing's role in promoting product safety.
Early registration is $299 for AHFA members and $599 for non-members until Monday, June 15. After that date, registration increases to $350 for AHFA members and $700 for non-members.
Registration includes a light breakfast and lunch both days and the cocktail reception Wednesday, August 26.
A group rate for the 2026 Marketing/PR Conference is available at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Greensboro Airport until Monday, August 10, or until the AHFA room block is full.
