LU’s College of Engineering programs reaccredited by ABET

Lamar University's College of Engineering proudly announces that all five of its engineering programs have been reaccredited by ABET for the maximum period of six years, extending through 2031.

ABET is the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. Its rigorous standards ensure that graduates are prepared to enter the global workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

"This reaccreditation affirms the quality of our programs and the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students," Dr. Mansour Karkoub, associate dean of accreditation and assessment of the College of Engineering said. "We are proud to continue offering an education that meets the highest engineering standards."

The following programs have been reaccredited:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
