UTMB Health is proud to welcome Rosanna Moreno as the new Administrator and Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) of the Angleton Danbury Campus, where she officially began her role on Sept. 2, 2025.

Moreno brings a wealth of experience in nursing and executive leadership to her new position. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clinical Officer at Kindred Hospital Clear Lake, where she led the organization to earn the Platinum Award for Quality-its highest honor-in 2023 and 2024.

Her career also includes leadership roles at HCA Clear Lake, The Woman's Hospital of Texas, and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

"Rosanna's proven leadership and clinical expertise, make her an ideal fit for the Angleton Danbury Campus," said UTMB Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Wayne Keathley. "We are confident that her vision and dedication will help strengthen our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care."

A lifelong resident of Angleton, Moreno is a proud UTMB alumna and is deeply connected to the community she now returns to serve. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Boise State University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTMB Galveston. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, she serves as adjunct faculty for Boise State University's DNP program.

Her return to UTMB marks a meaningful milestone in her journey. Years ago, the Angleton Danbury Auxiliary awarded her a scholarship that helped launch her nursing career-making this a "true full-circle moment" for her.

"The opportunity to serve the community that shaped me-both personally and professionally-is a profound honor," she said. "UTMB has always felt like home."
