Johnson delivers keynote at mathematics conference

Associate Teaching Professor and Associate Chair of Mathematics Kathrine Johnson gave a keynote address on March 6 at the2026 North Carolina Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges held at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This year's conference centered on Waves of Change in Mathematics.

Johnson's presentation, "Meeting Waves of Change with the Strength of Connections," focused on changes in mathematics higher education and examples of how building strong connections with students and partnering with colleagues, both within and beyond your institution, creates strength to withstand change and adapt.
