Chip sealing starts June 15 in Berrien, Van Buren counties

COLOMA, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor Pavement Maintenance Systems Inc. are chip sealing 27 miles of state highways in four locations:

• Northbound I-196 from I-94 to M-140 Exit 18.
• Southbound I-196 from I-94 to north of Coloma Road.
• I-196 Business Loop (BL) from 15th Avenue to south of Alyworth Avenue.
• M-63 from Blue Star Highway to Harrison Street.

This $2.9 million investment includes overband crack fill, single-course chip seal, fog seal and pavement markings.
