City of Midland Plans Community Celebrations for Midland Neighboring Week September 28 – October 4

September 12, 2025 - As the community comes together to celebrate Midland Neighboring Week September 28 - October 4, City of Midland departments invite residents to join in on the fun with family-friendly, free activities and events.

Experience our community in a fun way - and win prizes! - as Midland Parks and Recreation invites residents on a Neighbor Chase scavenger hunt from September 22 - October 5. Sleuths can visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/hunt and open the game link (use code DCLB) on a mobile device to receive their instructions and participate in photo, video, quiz, and GPS-related challenges. Participants can win coupons, gift cards, and prizes from local businesses. Neighbor Chase is sponsored by Live Oak Coffeehouse, Subway, Pizza Sam's, St. Laurent Brothers Candy & Nut House, and Eastman Party Store.

On Thursday, September 25, join the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library at Emerson Park, located at 1300 W. Main St., from 5:30 - 7 p.m. for Floats with Goats! Enjoy Faygo floats created by celebrity scoopers, a petting zoo, and fun for the family. Cones of animal feed will be available to purchase for $1 and carrots will be available for $3 (cash only, please). Food trucks will also be on hand with food for purchase.

Midland Neighboring Week is a weeklong, citywide celebration dedicated to promoting community wellbeing and belonging in Midland. While the initiative is currently led by the Midland Area Cultural Awareness Coalition, every individual and organization is encouraged to participate in their own way!
