PUBLIC NOTICE OF AMENDMENT REQUEST TO THE DEQ INDUSTRIAL SITING PERMIT FOR THE PROJECT WEST SOLUTION MINE AND SODA ASH PLANT ('PROJECT'); DEQ/ISC 23-02
PUBLIC NOTICE OF AMENDMENT REQUEST TO THE DEQ INDUSTRIAL SITING PERMIT FOR THE PROJECT WEST SOLUTION MINE AND SODA ASH PLANT ("PROJECT"); DEQ/ISC 23-02Notice is hereby given that the Industrial Siting Division received an amendment request from West Soda LLC ("West Soda"), an indirect subsidiary of WE Soda US LLC, "WE Soda" (Permittee) regarding the Project West Solution Mine and Soda Ash Plant ("Project") in Sweetwater County. The Permittee requested to amend the Permit to reflect start of construction to on or before July 2027. Pursuant to Condition # 11, the Director may authorize proposed changes so long as no party or Council Member requests that the matter be heard before the Council during its first quarter meeting at 9:00 am, on March 24, 2026. The meeting will be held at the Department of Workforce Services Building, Gannett Peak and Grand Teton rooms, 5221 Yellowstone Road, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009. At this time, it is the Director's intention to authorize the change on or after February 10, 2026, unless the Division receives a request by 5:00 pm on February 9, 2026, that these matters be heard by the Council. If the Division receives a request to be heard by the Council, this matter will be heard at the meeting on March 24, 2026.
