WASHINGTON-Pulaski County residents who contact U.S. Senator John Boozman's (R-AR) Washington, D.C. office may be greeted by a familiar voice. Little Rock native Rosh Ranaraja has joined the senator's team as a staff assistant.
"I am honored to join Senator Boozman's staff, where I can serve the community that raised me while contributing to the work that benefits Arkansans and Americans across the country," Ranaraja said.
"Rosh brings a strong record of public service and a deep commitment to Arkansas. His experience and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our team as we continue delivering responsive, effective constituent services," Boozman said.
Senator Boozman welcomes Catholic High School for Boys graduate Rosh Ranaraja to his Washington team.
In his role, Ranaraja plays a key part in delivering the reliable, high-quality constituent services characteristic of the senator's office over many years. His responsibilities include answering questions from Arkansans who contact the senator's Capitol Hill office about pending legislation and floor activity, as well as organizing tours of Washington, D.C. sites and processing flag requests to arrange for and purchase U.S. flags flown over the Capitol.
Prior to joining Boozman's office, Ranaraja gained experience through internships with Congressman French Hill (AR-02), the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.
Ranaraja is a 2021 graduate of Catholic High School for Boys and a 2025 graduate of Swarthmore College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science and economics. He is the son of Rohan and Shara Ranaraja.
