Harvey Solar Project Update: August 2026

Hello Neighbor,

The summer of '26 is winding down; vacations are ending, and the days will soon be cooler. Meanwhile, the Harvey Solar project is preparing to begin construction in the coming months. Planning is in place to begin pre-construction work such as site preparation, grading and development of a laydown yard to hold equipment and materials as early as November. More information on the project's schedule will be available later this Fall.

As part of our continuing commitment to communicating with you, each month we're providing information on key activities with the project, as well as highlighting our continuous commitment to supporting our neighbors in areas meaningful to them.

School's Back

August means kids and colleges head back to the classroom once again. Harvey Solar wishes all students and parents a safe and happy school year.

Supporting the Hartford Fair

Harvey Solar joined many Licking County residents to enjoy the Hartford Fair earlier this month. Harvey Solar served as Fair Day Sponsor on Monday of the Fair, and representatives for the project volunteered to weed flower beds before the Fair in the Natural Resource Area hosted by Licking County Soil & Water. Several of our workers also attended the Fair and hosted an information table. We had a wonderful time at the Biggest Little Fair in the World.

A Gallon of Milk

As part of the Hartford Fair, Harvey Solar also helped sponsor youth showing livestock (called "add-ons"), and donated to the Fair's Gallon of Milk Sale, which supports local 4-H and FFA students showing in the dairy category. The Gallon of Milk Sale is part of the Small Animal Sale program, which takes community donations to the "Gallon of Milk" fund which provides financial support, premiums, and educational funds for these young exhibitors.

Farm to Fork

As part of our community support effort, Harvey Solar also helped sponsor the 12th annual Farm to Fork event hosted by the Licking Land Trust at Dennison University. The Licking Land Trust, a partner of the Harvey Solar project, works to protect greenspace, farmland, and natural landscape in and around Licking County. The Farm to Fork event features a silent auction with winning bids and donations supporting the preservation of Licking County's rich agricultural lands and beautiful landscapes.
