UPDATED: Permit work requires ramp closures at EB/WB I-470 and View High Dr…

New traffic configuration and closures in place, Sept. 17-Oct. 31

REVISED: JACKSON COUNTY - Permit work by I-470 Western Gateway Transportation Development District for roadway improvements and the installation of a diverging diamond interchange (DDI) on View High Dr. under I-470 will require the CLOSURE of the following ramps at I-470 and View High Dr. All work is weather permitting.

REVISED: The following closures are currently in place through Wednesday, Sept. 24 (Revised from Sept. 19)

  1. Ramp from WB I-470 to View High Dr. will be closed.
  2. Ramp from View High Dr. to EB I-470 will be closed.
  3. BEGINS: Sept. 17 - Ramp from View High Dr. to WB I-470 will be closed.
  4. View High Dr. just north of I-470 is closed.

UPDATED- NEW Traffic configuration will begin Wednesday, Sept. 24 through Oct. 31

  1. Ramp from View High Dr. to WB I-470 will be closed.
  2. View High Dr. just north of I-470 is closed.

Motorists are encouraged to use adjacent I-470 interchanges to navigate around the ramp closures.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
