LoboBITES submissions being accepted through Oct. 9

LoboBITES is looking for graduate students who are passionate about their research and ready to share with The University of New Mexico community in just three minutes.

One of the premier events of Research and Discovery Week, LoboBITES is open to all currently enrolled UNM graduate students. Presentations are like short TED Talks. These talks provide graduate students with the opportunity to present their research in front of a diverse audience as well as a chance to engage with learners from across campus.

Submissions are open through Friday, Oct. 9. Apply now using the 2026 LoboBites application. Submissions are judged by a panel of UNM and Albuquerque community members. Top contestants can win up to $1,000 in scholarships and a paid trip to represent UNM at a regional competition.

The preliminary round is Oct. 22, with finals on Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. Come back for the finals to hear and find out who the 1st- and 2nd-place winners will be. You'll also have a chance to vote on the People's Choice Award.
