Justin Fair, an experienced executive leader with more than 20 years of experience in the software, healthcare and public sectors, started a new role as Chief Information Officer for the City of Garland on Sept. 16.
Fair has led initiatives in operational maturity, IT governance, data management, cybersecurity and strategic planning. He focuses on aligning technology to support organizational goals, enhancing efficiency and improving end user experience through secure, data-driven solutions.
For the past five years, Fair has served the City of Goodyear, Arizona, beginning as Chief Information Officer before transitioning into the role of Deputy City Manager.
Fair holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Angelo State University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Transformative Leadership at Angelo State. He actively contributes to workforce development for future technology leaders, as well as to smart city and cybersecurity organizations.
Fair and his wife, Veronica, share a passion for technology and music, and enjoy sports with their three children, Samara (16), Samuel (13) and Davina (10), who play volleyball and soccer. In the evenings and on weekends, the family can often be found in a gym or on the soccer field.
