Submit nominations for the 2027 Chancellor’s Distinguished Awards

Nominations are open through Oct. 16 for the Chancellor's Distinguished Awards, which recognize excellence among faculty members at the University of Pittsburgh.

Any faculty member who has served at Pitt for at least three years is eligible for honors in teaching, research and public service. Each awardee receives a cash prize of $2,000 and a grant of $3,000 to support their teaching, research or service activities.

Nominations for the Chancellor's Distinguished Research Award and the Chancellor's Distinguished Public Service Award can be submitted online. Read the guidelines to learn how to nominate a faculty member for the Chancellor's Distinguished Teaching Award.

These awards are open to faculty members in all University schools and campuses, whether their focus is humanities, arts and social sciences; science, technology, engineering and math; or medicine and health sciences.
