Sentara Norfolk General Hospital ranked among Virginia’s best for cancer care

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital has been recognized as one of Virginia's leading hospitals for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report, earning a No. 1 ranking in Hampton Roads and No. 2 across the Commonwealth.

The report also recognized Sentara Norfolk General as high-performing particularly in care for blood cancers - including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma - as well as lung and prostate cancer surgeries, citing strong clinical outcomes and quality measures.

The U.S. News ranking evaluates hospitals on objective measures such as patient outcomes, quality of care, patient experience, specialty accreditations. The assessment also compares additional performance indicators with other hospitals that provide complex cancer treatment.
