Public Safety Training Exercises at W.W. Flowe Park


The City of Concord Fire and Police departments will conduct joint public safety training exercises at W.W. Flowe Park in Concord over the next several weeks. During the scheduled trainings, the park will be closed to the public. The trainings are part of the City's ongoing commitment to public safety and ensuring first responders have the skills and preparation necessary to effectively respond during real emergencies.

The training exercises will take place on the following dates at W.W. Flowe Park:

  • May 22, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 26, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 27, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 28, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 29, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • June 2, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • June 3, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • June 4, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • June 5, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

During these training dates and times, the park will be closed to the public. The public may see a large presence of fire apparatus and police vehicles in the area due to the training and signs will be placed on Central Heights Drive near the park entrances. The park will reopen each day after the training exercises have concluded.
