TYPHOON BUALOI IN VIETNAM

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh, is closely monitoring the situation following the landfall of typhoon Bualoi in Vietnam on 29 September 2025, claiming lives, causing severe flooding, damage to infrastructure and the displacement of hundreds of families.

Malaysia extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of Vietnam, especially the victims and families affected by this natural disaster.

Thus far, no Malaysians have been reported to be affected by the typhoon. The Embassy and Consulate is also actively coordinating with local authorities to obtain further information.

Malaysians in affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow the latest updates and guidance provided by local authorities. Those who have not yet registered and updated their whereabouts and details are encouraged to do so immediately at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my.
