04 December 2025

On December 4, 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Türkiye, Anatoly Glaz, held a meeting with Hüseyin Aksoy, the Governor of Eskişehir Province.

Background Information: Eskişehir is one of Türkiye's major industrial, transport and university centres, with an export volume of around 4.5 billion US dollars. The region has well-developed railway and aviation industries, mechanical engineering, metalworking, and the production of industrial equipment and components. Several organised industrial zones operate in the province, and the small and medium-sized enterprise sector is expanding rapidly.

During the talks, special attention was paid to opportunities for cooperation in high technology, industry, equipment and component production, as well as in the agricultural and construction sectors.

Humanitarian areas were also discussed. Belarus and Türkiye share a mutual interest in strengthening ties between Eskişehir's universities and leading Belarusian higher education institutions, expanding exchanges in engineering and IT disciplines, and fostering contacts between cultural and sports organisations.

As part of the visit, a delegation of Belarusian business circles organised by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry worked in the region. At the industrial and commercial chambers of Eskişehir, the Ambassador formally opened a Belarus-Türkiye business forum bringing together companies engaged in precision technologies, agro-industrial equipment, and industrial construction.

The Belarusian industrial and investment potential was presented, and B2B meetings were held.

Approaches to deepening direct contacts between organised industrial zones, specialised enterprises, and business associations were also discussed
