KONGSBERG and OSI Maritime Systems sign MoU to strengthen cooperation

The cooperation reflects a shared ambition to combine complementary expertise across subsurface and surface vessels, bringing together KONGSBERG's advanced maritime technologies and OSI Maritime Systems' navigation and integrated bridge expertise.

"This MoU further strenghtens our commitment to long-term partnership, technological innovation, and support for national and allied maritime capabilities," said Lena Mariann Ulveraker, Senior Vice President Naval Systems at KONGSBERG.

"The MoU between OSI and KONGSBERG is a great step in the deepening relationship between our companies. OSI's navigation technology for surface and subsurface platforms is un-paralled and coupled with KONGSBERG's capabilities and reach will allow both companies to access new markets, domestically and internationally. This presents an exciting new chapter for OSI," said Jim Davison, VP Business Development at OSI Maritime Systems.

Submarine navigation is a central area of cooperation under the MoU, with relevance to the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). The collaboration aims to enhance safety, operational effectiveness and lifecycle support for next-generation submarines.

Surface vessel applications are also covered, including integrated navigation and bridge solutions for naval fleets, strengthening Canadian industrial participation and joint efforts in international defence and maritime export markets.

KONGSBERG is a long-standing and trusted partner to the Canadian Armed Forces across land, sea and air, delivering advanced defence capabilities that strengthen operational advantage and national sovereignty.
