Students participating in the 2026 Student Art Show have the option of selling their artwork.
Western Nevada College's annual Student Art Show is April 20 through May 7 in the Bristlecone Gallery. The collection will include 2-D artwork (paintings, drawings, prints) and 3-D work (sculpture) from enrolled students of WNC. Students can submit work until April 17 at 4 p.m.
"The Student Art Show is a wonderful reflection of the creativity, talent and dedication of our students," said Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. "At Western Nevada College, we are proud to provide opportunities for students to express themselves, share their perspectives and engage the community through the arts. This exhibition highlights not only artistic skill, but also the critical thinking and passion that define a well-rounded education."
A reception is scheduled for the final day of the show on Thursday May 7, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
"This exhibition celebrates the creativity of WNC students each year and the many hours of focus, problem-solving, and dedication behind each piece," said WNC Professor of Fine Art Rachel Stiff.
Artists are given the opportunity to sell their artwork during the exhibit. Sale prices are on the image list in the gallery. Students who choose not to sell their art have labeled it as not for sale (NFS). To purchase art from the exhibit, phone or email the student.
The gallery is free and open to the public, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located in the Bristlecone Building on the Carson City campus, 2201 West College Parkway.
