RIMS and Brokerslink Host Third Consecutive RIMS-CRMP Workshop to Advance Global Risk Excellence

NEW YORK (October 27, 2026) - RIMS and Brokerslink will bring together risk management professionals and brokers from around the world for the third consecutive RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) certification workshop on November 3 and 4 in Istanbul, Türkiye, ahead of the Brokerslink Global Conference 2026.

This year's workshop will draw participants from 16 countries. The workshop's increased international participation highlights the growing demand for risk management education, the global reach of the RIMS-CRMP certification, and the importance of strengthening risk management expertise across markets.

RIMS President Manuel Padilla will lead the workshop, sharing his expertise with an international audience of risk management professionals and brokers. The program will explore best practices to help participants strengthen their ability to identify and assess risks, develop effective risk strategies, implement risk management processes, build organizational risk competency, and support informed decision-making.

"A globally accepted understanding of strategic risk management is key to elevating the practice of risk management around the world," said RIMS President and course instructor Manuel Padilla. "The RIMS-CRMP certification sets a global risk management standard, ensuring that brokers and risk professionals are aligned and positioned to strengthen business resilience and deliver greater value. RIMS is proud to continue this collaboration with Brokerslink to advance the profession and strengthen risk capabilities globally."

"Our continued investment in risk management expertise strengthens our global network and the value we deliver to clients," said Carla Alves, Director of Marketing and Operations at Brokerslink. "This year, more participants than ever are joining from emerging markets, and the vast majority of them are funding their own place. It tells us that brokers in these markets are moving from a transactional model to an advisory one, a shift that has been a long time coming. Our collaboration with RIMS gives our Partners and Affiliates an internationally recognized certification to lead that change."

The pre-conference workshop is part of a multi-year agreement between RIMS and Brokerslink that includes the delivery of a series of both private and public RIMS-CRMP Exam Prep Workshops™ for Brokerslink's global network of around 50,000 risk professionals in 141 countries. To support this endeavor, RIMS will continue to provide its thought-leading course materials, instructors, and exam opportunities to pave the way for participants to earn the RIMS-CRMP certification.

The RIMS-CRMP certification is the only risk management certification accredited under the ISO/IEC 17024 personnel certification standard. Accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) in 2017, the credential recognizes professionals who demonstrate competency across five core areas: analyzing organizational models, designing organizational risk strategies, implementing the risk process, developing organizational risk competency, and supporting decision-making. The certification is held by more than 2,000 risk management professionals across more than 85 countries.

The Brokerslink Global Conference 2026 will take place November 4-6 in Istanbul, bringing together more than 470 participants from 98 countries for three days of education, industry insights, and networking with industry leaders and innovative solution providers. The RIMS-CRMP workshop opens the conference week, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organizations to advancing professional excellence and strengthening risk management capabilities worldwide.
