FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville, Tenn. Montecito Medical, a leading investor in medical outpatient real estate, has acquired a 162,000-square-foot outpatient medical property in Eugene, Oregon.
The building is fully leased by PeaceHealth Medical Group and serves as a mission-critical outpatient hub supporting the health system's ambulatory care delivery in the Eugene market.
"We are thrilled to establish a long-term real estate relationship with PeaceHealth through the acquisition of this important outpatient facility," said Rus Gudnyy, Senior Vice President of Investments at Montecito Medical. "For health systems and physician groups, we believe real estate can be a strategic source of capital while preserving the continuity, access, and quality of care that patients depend on."
"PeaceHealth is committed to ensuring patients in Eugene and across the region continue to have uninterrupted access to the high-quality, convenient outpatient care they currently receive at this facility," said Alicia Beymer, chief administrative officer, Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. "This site is an important part of that commitment, which also includes ensuring that the properties that have made up our University District campus are put to the best use possible to support the community's needs. We appreciate Montecito's long-term approach to healthcare real estate ownership that will allow our caregivers to remain in place serving our patients."
Strategically situated between downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon, the property benefits from strong underlying demand drivers, including a dense student population, a growing residential base, and significant nearby development.
PeaceHealth is a leading non-profit Catholic health system with a strong presence across the Pacific Northwest. The organization has approximately 16,000 caregivers, nearly 3,200 physicians and clinicians, more than 160 clinics and 9 medical centers serving both urban and rural communities across Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
"This is our second acquisition in the Pacific Northwest in June, reflecting the importance we attach to the region as we pursue opportunities in growing markets across the country," said Chip Conk, CEO of Montecito Medical. "We continue to seek opportunities to partner with leading health systems, physician groups, and ownership groups who are evaluating long-term real estate strategies for mission-critical outpatient assets."
