Minister Fajon supports international activities of companies in the Savinjska region

During a government visit to the Savinjska region, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon met with representatives of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Celje, together with the management teams of the companies Celjske mesnine, Cetis and LXNAV. The discussions focused on furthering the internationalisation of the Slovenian economy and science, particularly in the Savinjska region.

"Forging strong connections between business, science and culture enables Celje to develop into a globally recognised hub of innovation and creativity. Meetings of this kind are essential for exchanging experience, identifying challenges and exploring new opportunities for international cooperation and growth," Minister Fajon said during the visit. She underlined that the purpose of the meeting was to provide direct support to companies in pursuing their international ambitions, present available funding programmes, facilitate networking with foreign partners and promote economic and science diplomacy as strategic instruments for the global success of Slovenian companies.

Minister Fajon also outlined the Ministry's support for the internationalisation of the Slovenian economy and science, delivered through a network of diplomatic and consular missions and economic advisers. This support is provided in cooperation with the science and economy fund, which promotes Slovenian innovation internationally, particularly through collaboration with the Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund, universities and research institutions. The objective is to facilitate the establishment of international partnerships for both companies and researchers.
