JAMS Incident Management New Features (November 2026)

Since it launched in September 2026, JAMS Incident Management has shipped a series of updates. These are a few of the biggest changes:

  • Alerts reach more places. You can now get them in Webex, or in the new Android app, which rings even when your phone is on Do Not Disturb.

  • These tools can page you. Grafana (and Prometheus Alertmanager), Freshservice, Jira, GoAnywhere MFT, and Skybot Scheduler now connect directly.

  • A fix can wait for a second person. Admins can require someone else to approve an action, like restarting a job, before it runs.

The thread running through most of it: you can act from the alert itself, and you hear back whether it worked.

Alerts that reach people where they already are

An Android app that gets through Do Not Disturb

The JAMS Incident Management app is on Google Play. Once you grant access during setup, alerts break through Do Not Disturb, so a silenced phone at 3 a.m. still rings. From the alert you can acknowledge, escalate, or run the alert's actions when it offers them, and the app shows who's on call at a glance. Mobile app guide

Webex, on every plan

Alerts now arrive in Webex as cards. Acknowledge, escalate, or act on them right from the chat, either in a direct message or a team space. Webex is included on every plan, including Free. Webex setup

WhatsApp is included on the Free plan.

A different channel for each escalation level

Each level of an escalation policy can use its own channels. Text the first person. Call the next. Reach a team on WhatsApp only. If your night shift would rather get a text and your manager would rather get a call, you no longer have to pick one setting for both. Escalation channels

Message a whole team without building a flow

Need everyone on the bridge? Use Notify on a Team Group to call, text, or email the whole group, or only the people you pick. Notify a Team Group

Fix it from the alert, with a second pair of eyes when you want one

Approvals for alert actions

Some fixes shouldn't run on one person's say-so at 2 a.m. Admins can now mark specific actions, like restarting a JAMS Scheduler job or starting a Windows service, as needing someone else's approval. The person on call requests it from the alert. Approvers are asked one at a time, and every step lands in the Audit Trail. Action approvals

Email alerts that can start the fix

When an alert email arrives, JAMS Incident Management can submit a JAMS Scheduler job or run a script on one of your servers. It can do that automatically, or wait for one tap from whoever is on call. Either way, you hear back whether it worked. Email actions

Knowing how the restart went

After you restart a failed JAMS Scheduler job from an alert, you now hear whether it completed or failed again, so you aren't logging in to check. After a restart

More systems that can page you

Grafana and Freshservice are two-way: acknowledging or closing the alert in JAMS Incident Management updates the source system.

Integration What pages you What you can do from the alert
Grafana and Prometheus Alertmanager An alert fires, with the graph in the alert Acknowledge or close it, and Grafana updates too, even when Grafana runs inside your own network. Included on Professional and up
Freshservice A ticket is raised Acknowledge or resolve from the call, text, or chat card, and Freshservice updates. You can also open a Freshservice ticket from any alert, job log attached. Included on Professional and up
Jira A new issue is created Paging stops when the issue is marked done. Included on Professional and up
GoAnywhere MFT A project fails (with GoAnywhere's own error message), a partner-facing service like SFTP stops, or a certificate is close to expiring Run the project again from the call, text, or Teams or Slack card, then hear how the new run went. Included on Starter and up
Skybot Scheduler A job fails Restart, run now, end, hold, or skip the job, with Skybot Scheduler 5.0.48 or later and the JAMS Incident Connector. Included on Starter and up
Email (IMAP) monitoring An email matches your conditions, now on the body as well as the subject, combined with AND or OR Pull details like a server name straight into the alert

Email monitoring also watches itself now: an expired password or a Microsoft 365 connection that needs signing in again gets flagged instead of failing quietly. Mailbox monitoring

The right alert, the right team, and a record of who was on call

JAMS Scheduler alerts routed by folder or job

Pick which JAMS Scheduler folders and jobs page anyone, and who each one goes to. Finance failures go to the Finance on-call. Warehouse failures go to Operations. Slack channels and Webex spaces now work as destinations for folder routing and server monitoring as well. Routing by folder or job

An on-call report for pay and timesheets

The on-call report covers any date range you choose, past or future. It shows hours and days per person with a day-by-day breakdown, and you can export it to a spreadsheet or print it. If someone in your company totals up on-call pay by hand each month, send them this. On-call report

Rotations that turn the other way

Admins can now have the person at the bottom of a rotation move to the top at each handoff, instead of the next person in line taking over. Rotation order
