Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Ruan Zongze Pays Farewell Visit to Queensland Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Hon Rosslyn Bates

On 9 June 2026, Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze paid a farewell visit to Queensland Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Hon Rosslyn Bates.

Dr Ruan expressed gratitude to the Queensland Government for its support throughout his tenure. He noted broad prospects for bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors, and looked forward to further strengthening economic, trade and people-to-people ties between China and Queensland leveraging the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games as an opportunity.

Ms Bates acknowledged Dr Ruan's contributions to advancing bilateral cooperation during his posting. She pledged to continue promoting pragmatic collaboration and fostering  friendship between the two sides.
