DeCA withdraws Del Monte Fresh Cut Gold and White Corn cans due to mislabeling

A voluntary product withdrawal is being issued due to various customer complaints regarding cans of a Del Monte Fresh Cut product containing green peas instead of gold and white corn as labelled, which may lead to unintended exposure to undeclared allergens or ingredients.

The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA Headquarters and Support Center at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.

The following product is subject to this withdrawal:

  • Del Monte Fresh Cut Gold and White Corn, canned. Best by date of July 28, 2026. Lot number: KDT 318 552, UPC 24000 02771.

Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
