Malaysia: Department of Veterinary Services Updates on Dairy Plant Registration Renewal Procedures

The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) has revised its dairy establishment registration renewal procedure, allowing approved establishments from foot-and-mouth disease (FMD)-free countries, including the United States, to receive automatic five-year registration extensions through the ePermit system without submitting electronic or hard copy renewal applications. According to DVS, the renewal process will be managed internally, and no notifications confirming the extensions will be issued to exporters, competent authorities, or importers, requiring stakeholders to monitor their establishment registration status directly through the ePermit system.
