Celebrate Australia Day 2026 at Mildura Sporting Precinct

Published on 12 January 2026

Join family, friends and the community for a morning of Australia Day celebrations at Mildura Sporting Precinct on Monday 26 January.

Mildura Rural City Council's Australia Day celebrations will get under way from 8am, with a free Lions Club breakfast and coffee, plus live entertainment.

Mildura Mayor Cr Ali Cupper encouraged residents to come together and reflect on what it means to be part of our vibrant community at the annual event.

"Our annual Australia Day event is a great chance for our community to get together to enjoy a free coffee, barbecue breakfast and live entertainment, all while acknowledging what being Australian means to you," Cr Cupper said.

The event will also see Council announce winners of the annual Australia Day Awards across three categories - Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event/Project of the Year.

Cr Cupper said the unveiling of the annual Australia Day Award winners is one of many highlights of the event.

"Our annual Australia Day Awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding individuals and groups who make a real difference in our region," Cr Cupper said.
