City of Yuma invites community to audition for Dinner Theater production of “The Mousetrap”

YUMA, Ariz. - The City of Yuma's Arts and Culture Division invites community members to step into the spotlight as auditions open for the next Dinner Theater production at the Yuma Art Center. This season, audiences will be treated to one of Agatha Christie's most iconic mysteries, "The Mousetrap."

Auditions will take place at the Black Box Theatre (270 S. Main Street) on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7 p.m. and Friday, October 17, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. The selected cast will perform during a two-week engagement scheduled for February 5 through 14, 2026.

"The Yuma Art Center's Dinner Theater is not only about presenting great stories, but also about creating opportunities for our local community to shine," shared Melodia Flores, Events Operations Leader. "We invite performers to join us in bringing this classic mystery to life and to share in the excitement of live theater."

Those interested in auditioning are asked to complete the audition form in advance at yumaaz.gov/dinnertheater. Participants should review all audition information carefully before attending.

About "The Mousetrap"

The world's longest-running play, "The Mousetrap," is set in a snow-covered English guesthouse where a group of strangers are stranded during a storm after a murder occurs nearby.
