AIA Statement on Congress’ Vote to Reopen the Government

Arlington, VA - Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today made the following statement after the House passed legislation to fund the government through January, sending the bill to the President's desk to end the weeks-long shutdown.

"AIA appreciates Congress voting to reopen the government, ending the longest shutdown in history. This is good news for the American worker, national security, and economy," Fanning said. "Now, it's time to finish the job: pass the remaining appropriations bills and fully fund the U.S. government by January 30. Full-year appropriations are essential to keep air travel safe, drive rapid innovation, and strengthen America's industrial base."
