Town of Davie’s Housing Assistance Programs Are Now Available

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie's Housing and Community Affairs Division is now accepting applications for its housing assistance programs, which include the Home Repair Program, Purchase Assistance Program and Wheelchair Ramp Program. Applications are being accepted now through October 22, 2025, or until funds are expended.

Individuals interested in applying are encouraged to submit a completed application as soon as possible. Programs are only available to Davie homeowners and individuals seeking a home located in Davie, Florida.

Hard copy applications can be picked up at the Housing and Community Affairs Division office at 4700 SW 64th Ave., Suite D. Digital applications are also available online at www.davie-fl.gov/HousingCA.

Completed applications must be dropped off via the locked drop-box located at the Housing and Community Affairs Division office from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Applications will not be accepted after hours or on weekends.

Please note that funding is limited and awards will be given on a first come, first served basis. First priority will be given to very-low, low-income households and special needs households.

Home Repair Program

The Home Repair Program provides home repair assistance for Davie households in owner occupied housing units with a maximum award amount of $70,000.

Purchase Assistance Program

The Purchase Assistance Program, also known as the SHIP First Time Homebuyer Program, will award a maximum deferred payment loan of $90,000 towards the closing costs, first mortgage reduction, and/or down payment assistance for the purchase of eligible owner-occupied housing in Davie.

Wheelchair Ramp Program

The Wheelchair Ramp Program or Barrier Free Program will award a maximum of $20,000 for installation or replacement of wheelchair ramps on mobile homes that are windstorm rated.
